After an excellent day shopping at thrift stores, a friend and I went to Barnes and Nobles to check out some of the sales. I love Brittney Lee’s work and I decided to buy the book she illustrated for Tangled (because the art is GORGEOUS).
When I went to the register, the lady at the counter said, “Oh isn’t that sweet! Would you like a gift receipt to go with that?”
“… No.” And she looked at me. And I looked at her.
It was an awkward three seconds.
